Hi Everyone,
Please note that my beginner oil/ acrylic class will start up again on Tuesday, August 27, in the Pinnacle Art Room at 2:00 PM. We welcome anyone who would like to try painting with acrylics, oil or water mineable oils, or just want someone to paint with over the summer.
Also note that Tia’s pen and watercolor class is continuing on Wednesday afternoons in the Multipurpose Room.
As the summer is coming to an end, we need to start focusing on the fall Fine Art Show. As such, I would like to set a meeting for all those who have volunteered or are considering volunteering for the Show and Show preparation. I’m thinking of setting the meeting for two weeks from now, Wednesday, September 4 at 11:00 AM. We can meet in the Multipurpose Room. Hopefully, we will need little more than an hour. But, we really need to confirm those who will head the committees, staff the tables and help with early advertising and such. So, please, please consider making time to attend. I will email again early next week to confirm the date and time.
Finally, please recall that our first general meeting of the season will be held on Monday, September 16 at 1:00 PM. Many of our instructors will be present to talk about their classes, some of which will be brand new. Also, please remember to bring in a painting, drawing, or other art work with a theme of sunrise or sunset. Those attending the meeting will pick their favorite. A gift certificate will be awarded to the favorite piece.
Hope everyone has been having a pleasant summer and has continued to be creative.
