A Message From Our President

03-07-2024

Hi Everyone:

Please note that Roma’s Watercolor Pencil class has ended.  Starting Wednesday, March 20, Roma will conduct a 6 session course using Wet Pastels.  The classes will meet on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM in the Pinnacle Art Room, and will take place on March 20, April 3, April 10, April 24, and May 1.  No class will be held on March 27.  Please let us know if you plan on attending, as we want to confirm interest in the class.  Of course, there is no problem with just showing up, but please try to arrive on time.

Also, I am pleased to report that our “Sip & Paint” paint party has sold out.  For those signed up and paid, you need only show up on March 20 at 6:00 PM in the Desert Vista Multipurpose Room.  All materials will be supplied, as well as dessert.  However, remember to bring you own beverage….wine is especially welcomed.

For those of you who couldn’t make it to this paint party event, we look forward to scheduling another one very shortly.

Thanks All.

Steve

Roma’s watercolor pencil class will start up again on Wednesday, January 24, in the Pinnacle Art Room at 1:00 PM.

Bobbie Friedman’s "contemporary art for those without talent,” will start this Thursday, January 18, in the Pinnacle Art Room at 1:00 PM.

Finally, Tia Kim’s new pen and color drawing class will be held on Monday afternoons, starting January 29, in the Pinnacle Art Room at 1:00 PM.

I know a number of members opted for a different day, but the majority selected Monday afternoon.  A supply list will be forwarded shortly.

Finally, If you wish to take part in the competition to design a new logo and badge for the Sun City Summerlin Security Patrol, please email your entry design to Michael Christiansen at 0583MEC@gmail.com.  Please try to submit you proposal by the end of the month.
